Notes on Dedication/Dedicatee: In the Dedication, notes on translation: "I have been encouraged thereby to proceed therein, as I have translated also into our English tongue the lives of all the holy Patriarches and Prophetes of the old Testament, with divers solemne feasts and miracles of our B.Lord and Saviour, which make another entire complete volume; together with the famous Eccesiasticall History of the Church, being ready, when it shall please God to send meanes and ability, to publish them" [*4v].
